MIRACLE CURES – CASE HISTORY NO 28 & 29

Case History No 28 & 29

TWO CASES OF INSOMNIA

(This medical condition has already been discussed in the CASE HISTORY NO 20 – YAMUNA)

DISCUSSION

Prakash, a police officer used to suffer from constant stress because of his work conditions.  This led to depression and insomnia.  The inflow of prana from meditation helped him to maintain his poise at work and to overcome the insomnia which had plagued him for a long time.

“Because of the nature of my work I used to get stressed and depressed.  Today I have slowly gathered enough self confidence to deal with the various problems and exigencies of my profession.  I always try to maintain a positive attitude both at home and at work.

(Excerpts from article, Prakash Magazine 4, 2011 P 43-44)

“Now I am able to sleep soundly with the sole purpose of getting rest: sleep is for the body what meditation is for the spirit.  When both are achieved the human life is in perfect equilibrium.”  (Excerpts from article, Prakash, Magazine 2, 1991, P44)

Later, his wife would suffer from insomnia for unknown reasons.  Her condition worsened until she went into a state of apathy.  She appeared to have lost all interest in life.  Again, meditation would come to the rescue.  Almost immediately she improved.  With the additional prana from meditation she would be completely cured.

“…in 2003 my wife’s health suddenly deteriorated without reason.  She became very lean and thin.  She lost appetite.  She could not sleep.  She had nightmares. She was listless as if she had lost the desire to live.  I had to take her from one doctor to another.  They performed all types of tests but could not find any pathology.  All tests gave normal results.  We had to spend a lot of money but without success.  In our desperation we even had recourse to other methods, healers etc.  Money kept draining with no solution in sight.  Six months already, her health did not show any improvement.”  (Excerpts from article, Prakash, Magazine 4, 2011 p43-44)

“We were desperate.  Then we remembered the ashram.  Perhaps Yoginiji could help her.  Yoginiji advised to resume with meditation as and when we can come, but we have to meditate daily at home.  Almost immediately, there was a marked change in her condition.  After months she could now enjoy a sound sleep.  Her appetite improved.  She put on some weight and could go about her daily activities cheerfully.  She had completely recovered within 2-3 months.”  (Excerpts from article, Prakash, Magazine 4, 2011 p43-44)

Effects of yoga and meditation

In both cases we noted the seriousness of the condition.  Their whole system was in a state of imbalance for different reasons.

Meditation would bring in a supplement of prana which would restore the disturbed homeostasis and reinstate a normal sleep rhythm.  Their intractable insomnia was cured.
