MIRACLE CURES – CASE HISTORY NO 33 – SLIP DISC

Case History No 33 – Slip Disc

(This medical condition has already been discussed in the case history of Case No 3 – BRIND.)

Discussion

This is a typical case of complicated slip disc, not amenable to any medical treatment.  The patient had been advised urgent surgery.

“My neighbour had been suffering from slip disc for some time.  He never took it seriously.  He was having pain on and off but never thought he had to take extra precautions.  The inevitable happened.  He did some jerky movement and started having violent pain.  He could hardly move.  He had to be rushed to the doctor who advised surgery the very next day.  His relatives panicked.  My neighbour also was not prepared for this sudden surgery.”*

The relatives brought him for some temporary relief until he could be persuaded for surgery which seemed inevitable according to his treating doctor.

“They decide to seek help from the ashram.  The poor chap had to be carried into the car and helped out.  In this condition there was hardly any posture one can do.  So yoginiji made him perform some standing postures involving the spine and vertebral column, arm and legs.  He did the postures with great difficulty, someone having to help him raise his leg; another raise his arm and help him lean forward.”*

However, just some simple yoga postures gave him complete relief.

“These few postures helped unblock his system.  Yoginiji told him if he gets relief by the next morning to practice the same postures for a week and then to come back. But he had complete relief.  He did not have to go for any operation the next day or ever. He continued with the few exercises.  He was happy and satisfied.  He never had any relapse of his problem.”* (*Excerpts from article, Preetam Magazine 4, 2011 P 74-76)

Effects of Yoga and Meditation

Being young, then about 35 yrs old, the yogic postures and breathing directed the prana to the affected parts to activate the healing process.  Continued yoga exercises and breathing helped to maintain the prana action and further consolidated the beneficial effects of the first day.  The patient has been able to be symptom free all these years.
